The Carrillo Ballroom Overview

The breathtaking scenery and comfortable Mediterranean climate make the City of Santa Barbara an ideal place to celebrate your wedding. The Carrillo Recreation Center is a gorgeous brick building and historic facility centrally located in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. The center boasts a spacious, formal ballroom, complete with stage and balcony, as well as one of the best dance floors in the country – a spring loaded, maple hardwood floor. Let your love steal the center of attention as you exchange vows on the center’s stage. Serenade your guests with the soothing sounds of a Baldwin Ellington baby grand piano. While the ballroom is transformed from ceremony site to reception hall, have your guests mingle and enjoy cocktails out in the facility’s beautifully landscaped courtyards. After cocktail hour, you and your guests can enjoy a nice dinner before the reception dance party begins. Whether you want to feel as though you are slow dancing on a cloud or hosting an epic party on a cloud, the cantilevered floor will flex under your every step. The facility rental coordinator will be happy to assist you with planning all the details of your special day.

Venue Notes

The rental fee is $3,888 for a ceremony and reception and includes 8 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. This location is only available for Saturday only weddings. The rates featured on Wedding Spot are City of Santa Barbara resident rates. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $331/hr. A non-refundable $300 reservation fee and $500 refundable security deposit is required.
