IA&A at Hillyer is a unique contemporary art venue located in the artistic and internationally chic Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, DC. This renovated historic carriage house gallery is a wonderful space for the couple seeking an alternative to traditional wedding venues. Whether you consider yourself modern or traditional with a unique twist this intimate space can cater to you. The gallery boasts high ceilings, clean white walls and hardwood floors. The gallery also presents a dual series of international and local contemporary art exhibitions, which provide an exceptional backdrop for your wedding celebration. Host both your ceremony and reception on-site. Or only use the Hillyer for your reception, it’s the perfect complement to any ceremony held off site. This sophisticated setting is ideal for large cocktail receptions or smaller seated dining-style receptions. The facilities manager is more than happy to assist you with planning all the details for your special day!Venue Notes
Monday – Wednesday: $800 for five hours, $100 for each additional hour Thursday + Sunday: $1,000 for five hours, $200 for each additional hour Friday + Saturday: $1,500 for five hours, $250 for each additional hour 501(c)(3) organizations receive a 20% discount on total rental fees If Hillyer has to close early to the public, there are additional fees of $75 per hour. Fees include the presence of one Hillyer staff member present from setup to close to answer questions about current exhibitions and provide security for the artwork and facility. A non-refundable half (50%) of the rental fee along with a $500 security deposit is due at the signing of the contract, with the remainder paid one week prior to the event, under penalty of cancellation.Amenities And Requirements

- Alcohol must be served by licensed bartender/caterer- Amplified music OK indoors only- Approved outside caterer allowed- BYO alcohol- Music must end by midnight- No red wine or red food (marinara sauces, etc) allowed- No rice, birdseed, confetti, etc.- Smoking outside only- Venue must approve all decorations
