Bernardus Lodge Overview

The serene character of Bernardus Lodge & Spa echoes an authentic Wine Country retreat. Nurturing a relaxing escape from the bustle of life, this intimate Carmel Valley venue is dressed with lush landscapes and majestic fountains. Connected to a two-acre landscaped setting, the Meritage Ballroom is an open event space that offers French doors overlooking the Santa Lucia mountain range. The property itself is outfitted with five-acres of lavender flowers and eight-acres of vineyards, offering a breathtaking backdrop. Brilliant foliage envelops the Wedding Garden and the two-story Marinus Terrace can be used as a small reception area decorated with sophisticated iron and glass tables and a stone fire pit. For a more playful area, the Croquet Lawn and Terrace is also available featuring bocce ball and croquet. Decorative walls create a private, enclosed area creating a European elegance. The resort is a picturesque, boutique-style destination for guests to visit or stay the evening.

Venue Notes

The rental fee ranges from $5,500 to $13,500 for ceremony and reception and includes 6 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $1,000/hr. A food and beverage minimum of $25,000 for Saturday.
