Silver Run School was established in 1850 and is located on Highway 21 south of I20 approximately 5 miles in Talladega County. The present building was built in 1907 after the original was burned. The second room was added sometime in the 1940’s. Both have been restored as a special event center. The chapel, the original school house has a maximum seating capacity for approximately 100 guests. It will be fully furnished for a wedding allowing a couple to walk in and be married without the hassle of making all of the arrangements. The reception hall (second room) can be set up as desired for a stand up reception or a full sit down dinner. During restoration an additional section was added on featuring a Bride’s room with a triple full length mirror and chandelier, a kitchen for caterers to use, handicapped accessible men and women’s bathroom and a handicapped ramp.
