Beacon Grand Hotel Overview

In 1928, the Sir Francis Drake Hotel opened at the center of a vibrant city famed for luring pursuers of opportunity, creators, and connectors from around the world. The press called it “a glittering monument to the progress, hospitality, and undying beauty of San Francisco.” The new name—Beacon Grand—is both the next chapter and a new story for this legendary hotel. It honors all those who made this hotel, and The City, a welcoming symbol of progress. The grand original intent of the hotel is renewed, from historic design details to the inclusive spirit and service that make it a social circle on the Square. From bustling street below to glowing star above, the hotel lures explorers and San Franciscans alike to the heart of a city where history is forever starting now. Nearly a century after its first opening, the Beacon Grand will become a hub for The City’s own historymakers once again.

Venue Notes

There is no rental fee for the reception but there is a food and beverage minimum applied to all events. The venue allows 6 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time for weddings. The set up fee for a wedding ceremony is $1,500 and includes an extra hour of event time. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $250/hr.
