Ashburn Hill Plantation underwent massive renovation in 2012 and 2013. With attention to preserving as much of the original structure and ornaments as possible, the facilities have been redone with comfort and southern style in mind. The original train depot from Moultrie Georgia sits on the property and serves as the event facility. The property is an excellent venue for weddings when brides want historical character in a rustic yet elegant setting. The facility has over 5000 square feet of space featuring a large main dining room, back porch, a buffet room, a lounge and billiards room. The depot has a certified commercial kitchen capable of handling the most elaborate events and menu choices. Connected to the depot by wrap around porches is a 1901 Pullman train car. The train car is a novelty that steps one back in history. It can be used for a small private luncheon, dinner or as the private gathering area for the groomsmen prior to a wedding.
