First Unitarian Universalist Church and Center Overview
Built in 1889, the First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Francisco is a grand display of architectural beauty in its simplest form. The highlight of the Church is the elegant and historic Sanctuary, which features large, stunning stained glass windows, dramatic chandeliers, oak detail and ample seating. A rear balcony with light cascading from another large stained glass window holds a rare, three-thousand pipe organ. The Sanctuary gets rave reviews from musicians and their audiences for its great acoustics. If this is not enough, the venue provides for three other options to say your “I Do’s”. Choose between the octagonal shaped Chapel with its 40-foot high ceilings; the Fireside room with is large wood-burning fireplace, velvet curtains and parquet floors; and the beautiful central courtyard, with a modern sculptured fountain and stunning landscaping, which can also be transformed into a lovely setting for an outdoor wedding underneath the stars. Or imagine a lavish reception celebration in either the Starr King Room or Martin Luther King Room, both boasting pleasing architectural features and thoughtful design that provides a memorable experience for your guests. The rental fee ranges from $800 to $2,000 for a reception and includes 8 hours of facilities use including set up and clean up time. The fee for a wedding ceremony ranges from $300 to $2,450. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $100/hr to $250/hr depending on location. There is a minimum $150 fee to use the kitchen for receptions.Amenities And Requirements
