For a unique, quirky wedding day, head to the Sternberg Museum of Natural History in Hays, Kansas. Calling the curious and inquisitive, the museum offers many event spaces and a variety of research, collections, and exhibitions that make for a compelling and fascinating venue. The museum’s indoor spaces are better suited for more intimate ceremonies, with capacities for up to 85 guests in the Engel Education Center. The Seibel Lobby serves as a cozy space for a cocktail hour pre- or post- ceremony, and the Expeditions Meeting Room can serve as a getting-ready room. For larger ceremonies, the 22-acre Howard Reynolds Nature Trail provides a bucolic scene with vast blue skies, endless grassland, a stream, and a pond, all of which evoke a pristine, rustic country era. It’s a lovely backdrop for a ceremony beneath the gazebo. With its variety of exhibits, venues, and pastoral setting, the Sternberg Museum of Natural History offers a delightful and amusing venue for your special day.
