Jaleo opened in the Penn Quarter in 1993, just steps from the U.S. Capitol building. Inspired by the spirit of Spain, Jaleo’s décor is bright, festive, and colorful, as is the dinner table that doubles as a foosball table for mid-meal gaming. Vivid reds, yellows and orange colors find a spot in every corner of the restaurant, setting the scene for an equally lively menu. Enjoy classic tapas, fried potatos with blue cheese, or mix it up with a perfectly fried eff topped with caviar and grilled hanger steak with confit piquillo peppers. Jaleo accommodates special event groups of any size with 9 options for private hosting. For groups of less than 20 seated guests, hosts can choose from two communal table options, two alcoves, or an intimate dining nook. Groups of 26-50 can book the foosball alcove in sections or its entirety depending on the need for space. Large groups of 100-150 may consider a full or partial buy-out.
