Saints Peter and Paul Jesuit Church is a Catholic community in the Ignatian Spiritual tradition. The cornerstone of this church is dated June 29, l844 making it the oldest church building in the city of Detroit. In its 150 plus years of existence, the church has served a wide variety of Detroit's citizens, and is an active partner in the reconstruction of the downtown area. The church is now totally owned and operated by the Jesuit Order in the Metro-Detroit area and ready to host your wedding. The renovation of this church now includes marble floors, marble wainscoting around the church, two spiral staircases leading to the balcony, the marble communion rail, and new windows. All these new features coupled with the history of this gorgeous church, makes this venue ideal. Preparing for your marriage is about more than cake, flowers and dresses.
