Brown Auditorium at Nash Community College Overview

Tucked away in the scenic town of Rocky Mount, Nash Community College is a welcoming and affordable wedding venue on North Carolina’s coastal plains. As you walk across lush green grass, you can admire the modern exterior of the college auditorium. Stroll into the carpeted hallway to discover luminous light fixtures and comfortable armchair seating. The auditorium is charmingly divided into rooms named after local flowers, such as honeysuckle and dogwood. You can your plated wedding dinner in your room of preference. Whichever space you choose, verdant potted plants can imbue the auditorium with a natural ambience. You can serve your banquet buffet-style on a white linen table, conveniently set up along the tiled wall. Listen to the wafting notes of the baby grand piano as you dine. Then drift onto the spacious dance floor to celebrate with family and friends. Located less than a mile off Highway 64 Bypass and Interstate 95, the college is wonderfully located for your out-of-town guests. They are free to explore the artistic community of Rocky Mount, visiting the nearby arts center and children’s museum. Above all, they can savor the fun and relaxed atmosphere of your wedding night at Nash Community College.

The rental fee ranges from $1,600 to $2,000 for a reception and includes 6 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time.

- $20 per hour for custodian required- $50 alcohol permit required- All bars must close by 11:30pm- Amplified music OK indoors only- Approved outside caterer allowed- BYO alcohol- General liability insurance required- Music must end by 11:30PM- No confetti or smoke machine- No glitter or glitter guns permitted- No rice, birdseed, confetti, etc.- Outdoor ceremony chairs must be rented if doing an outdoor ceremony- Smoking outside only
