Nestled in the idyllic Reems Creek Valley in the shadow of the Blue Ridge peaks, the Zebulon B. Vance Birthplace Historic Site offers a unique venue for a rustic mountain wedding. Built in the late 18th century, this pioneer farmstead embodies the quaint charm of mountain living and Southern hospitality. The property and its structures have been reconstructed to celebrate the original birthplace of Zebulon B. Vance, a Civil War officer and prominent political leader of the Tar Heels. The facility offers several original buildings that can serve as a backdrop to your big day. The homestead is made from hewn yellow pine logs and featuring two enormous fireplaces with original chimney. Period-appropriate furnishings decorate the house, adding that final touch of authenticity to the magnificent structure. Nearby picnic shelters allow you to dine beneath the stars with the historic buildings, fine mountains, and lush fields of grasses as your backdrop!
