Eugene O'Neill Theater Center Overview

With charming buildings and beautiful water views, the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s facilities and grounds are a wonderful place to hold your wedding. The Sunken Garden is a beautiful lawn overlooking a stunning view of the Long Island Sound. This perfect wedding and party venue is ideal late spring to early autumn. The space works well with tents of various sizes, and your guests can enjoy the scenic view by both day and night. The charming outdoor Sea Porch, on the back of the historic Hammond Mansion, also has a fabulous view out to the water. and is ideal for smaller receptions. An iconic O’Neill building, the Rufus & Margo Rose Barn Theater is original to the property and has a great rustic feel. The upper level overlooking the main floor allows for many possibilities in laying out all the components of your event. The Amphitheater and The Nelson and Aida White House are among other venues available to host your celebration. Whichever location you choose at the center, your wedding will be filled with love and joy as you commemorate your new marriage.

Venue Notes

The rental fee ranges from $750 to $3,000 for a ceremeony and reception and includes 16 hours of rental time including set up and clean up time. Same rental fees apply for a ceremony only wedding. A refundable security deposit of $250 is required. Please note, venue is not available June thru August. Please inquire with venue for details about alcohol coverage in addition to liability insurance, when alcohol is being served.
