Valencia Hall Overview

The Valencia Hall and historic general store and post office are the last two remnants of Frederick Hihn's logging community of Valencia, located minutes from downtown Santa Cruz. Built by Hihn in the latter part of the nineteenth century, these charming historic buildings allowed the community to gather for a variety of events, including of course weddings. If your dream ceremony includes historic charm and an intimate setting, Valencia Hall is perfect for celebrating your "I do's". The quaint white building is reminiscent of a country church, and the sun streaming in the windows will bathe your ceremony in heavenly light, making you the most beautiful bride ever seen. Fresh fruit orchards and towering redwood trees surround the area and will make your celebration feel exclusive and private. There's no better way to start your lives together than putting together a party to remember at Valencia Hall.

Venue Notes

The hourly rental fee of $85 resident/$94 non-resident requires a 6 hour minimum with your ceremony and reception within the 3-5 hours of maximum event time (1 hour minimum each set-up and clean-up). Valencia Hall is available 7 days a week with hourly rentals available during weekdays. A non-county/non-resident fee of $300 may apply. November through March winter rates are hourly and discounted 20%. A refundable security deposit of $100-200 is required. A 3-5 hour alcohol permit fee of $100-200 is available for beer, wine and champagne. Prices provided by Wedding Spot are based on a 6 hour weekend rental that includes 3-5 hours of event time, and not based on hourly rates.
