Looking for a Christ-centered ceremony in a historic church and beautiful chapel? Take your ceremony to Grace Lutheran Church in downtown Milwaukee. Established in 1849, the church building has been standing since 1851 and preserved carefully to reflect the architecture of the times. In 1989 and 1995, the church building underwent major renovations which included the restoration of the chancel to its original design. The present Schlicker organ is an instrument of 53 ranks and over 3,000 pipes. The Grace pastors help couples (both members and non-members) plan a Christ-centered wedding ceremony in a beautiful church building. The ceremony usually lasts about 30 minutes. The pastors also provide pre-marital counseling. The grandiose brick building with stone accents and detailed windows, gates, and centerpiece is surrounded by a lovely green that will greet your guests as they make their way to your wedding. Imagine getting married against a backdrop the decorative altar, surrounded on either side by hanging lights. The high ceilings and pillars located next to the balconies add a majestic air to this spacious church. The beautiful stained glass windows add to the artistry that is this lovely church and you and your spouse will have a timeless, classic wedding at this traditional, wooden, stone church.
