New Canal Lighthouse Museum and Education Center Overview
Come experience how the history of a light, a lake and a coast has blended together. Visit Louisiana's only working lighthouse containing a museum for your wedding. The New Canal Lighthouse Museum is located on the first floor of the rebuilt lighthouse raised up 19 feet above the level of Lake Pontchartrain. The balcony allows your guests to get a panoramic view of the New Orleans south shore lakefront throughout your event. Inside, the museum consists of three display areas, one depicting the history of the light and the region, one presenting LPBF's SAVE OUR LAKE successful campaign, and one presenting the challenges addressed with LPBF's SAVE OUR COAST campaign. You and your guests are welcome to explore all the museum has to offer as you celebrate your nuptials. Experience a gorgeous day in lush green surroundings of this venue. The rental fee is $500 for a reception and includes 1 hour of event time including set up and clean up time. The fee for a ceremony is $500 and includes 1 hour of event time. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $500/hr. A refundable security deposit of $500 is required. Events over 75 guests require an additional fee of $100.Amenities And Requirements
