Baum Opera House Overview

Originally built in 1884 as the Star City Opera House, the building served as an opera owned by German immigrant Charles Baum. It was one of the first of its kind in the state and served as a cultural epicenter in Miamisburg throughout the last 130 years.Today, it serves as one of the most unique wedding venues in the area! Say your “I do’s” on the first floor in the Templer Room, a warm and welcoming space ideal for crafting a unique ceremony. Neutrally shaded walls, stately columns, and vintage style chandeliers add a vintage flare to this venue. To celebrate your union, move to the Ransdell Ballroom located on the building’s second floor. This expansive event space boasts sky high ceilings entwined with moody spotlights -- perfect for creating a unique mood for your reception! A large stage provides a roomy area for entertainment and a sprawling dance floor for busting a move.
