William and Mary Alumni House Overview
The William & Mary Alumni House is located in the heart of historic Williamsburg on the campus of the College of William & Mary. Close to hotels, churches, restaurants, beautiful backdrops and historic charm, the W&M Alumni House has the best location in town! The historic section of the Alumni House, the Bright House, dates back to the 1860’s, and was built on a parcel of land called “New Hope.” The House was transformed and expanded in the late 1990’s with the addition of a grand ballroom, terrace, and bricked plaza. And now, our current expansion and renovation project will make the Alumni House the largest independent social gathering space in Williamsburg with nearly 55,000 square feet! With both indoor and outdoor spaces available, the expanded Alumni House will be able to accommodate small, intimate weddings as well as large gatherings of up to 400 guests. The Alumni House allows flexibility in regard to catering and other wedding vendors, in order to provide couples with the option to truly make the day their own.Venue Notes
The rental fee for the Historic Bright House package, which accommodates up to 120 guests, is $4,500. The rental fee for the Grand Ballroom Package, in the new addition of the Alumni House, which will accommodate up to 400 guest, is $8,500. The venue includes 5 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $500/hr. Estimates provided by Wedding Spot are based on a wedding with pricing for alumni of the College of William and Mary.
