Riversdale, an elegant Federal style manor house, was constructed between 1801 and 1807 for Henri Stier, a Flemish aristocrat; it was completed by his daughter, Rosalie, and her husband, George Calvert, grandson of the fifth Lord Baltimore. Today, this elegant architectural gem has been restored to reflect the lifestyle of the Calverts in Federal America. The grounds around the museum are pristine with manicured lawns and vibrant flowers. Inside the museum, a large carpeted ballroom in late 19th century décor invites a regal affair. Admire the period details adorning the museum and take advantage of the gorgeous space and grounds to take wedding photos. The sweeping staircase decorated with a Greek statue, for example, is perfect for photo opportunities! At Riversdale House Museum, enjoy the charming, historic ambiance on your big day.
